Super Bowl XLIV
(by Gary Godfrey - February 08, 2010)
Super Bowl XL IV was a bitter sweet game.
The New Orlean Saints were in the hearts of most Americans, while the Indianapolis Colts were favored by plus five in Vegas.
Quarterback, Drew Brees, led his Saints to a 31-17 victory. He tied a Super Bowl record for completions, and was voted MVP.
Who are the champions? The New Orlean Saints, Dat’s Who!!! echoed the city with chants and signs. Coach Sean Payton called for an onside kick to start the second half -- which the Saints recovered. Six plays later the score was 13-10. PAT was also good giving the Saints the lead 14-10. New Orleans outscored the Colts 25-7 in the second half to seal their first Super Bowl win in history of the franchise.
