It’s Two More Great Granddaughters!

Ginger and I have been blessed, with three great children who have come through with three wonderful spouses and nine super grandchildren.

Proverbs 17:6 say it like this: Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.

We were invited to a “Reveal Party” on Saturday, but were unable to attend, because Ginger was teaching an art class. Grandson number
Two, Ty and his wife Briana, along with granddaughter number one, Taylor and her husband Kyle. Both are expecting their second child sometime in September or October in the same year.

Ginger received a text minutes after the attendees had heard it’s going to be two great-granddaughters added to the Godfrey flock.

All of our children have given us nine grandchildren. Five grandsons. Four granddaughters. Add three spouses, for a grand total of 12.

So far, our grandchildren have blessed us with four great grandchildren.
Add baby girl number one and number two you come up with six.

If everything goes according to our plan, we will have 24 for Christmas.

“Everyone is really excited about our new great granddaughters announcement,” Ginger revealed.

“I know, you’re dripping with it,” I answered.

“You know, it wouldn’t hurt you to get excited once in awhile,” she broke in.

“I’ll get excited when they both get here,” I explained.

Ginger’s face then showed me what she thought about that comment.

This week’s bottom line: Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren are the reward you get for not strangling your teenagers.
