Join In With Bradford’s Salute to America

Dear Readers,
I have to open the vent; Ginger is getting tried listening to me. Not to mention all of my employees. I can only hope that everyone understands. Arens Publication’s has not made a profit in the last three months. To be honest, it’s my entire fault. You see, I’ve told everyone I know that I’m semi-retire. I play golf when I want to, we winter in Florida from December to April, and we go on one super trip every year.

I’m very blessed to have the most wonderful staff an owner can have. Every one of them has a special place in our operation. It’s not like we’re going under or everything like that. It’s all about accountability. I’ve been in a slump.

We purchase this place in 1982. When I reminisce it feels the same as raising one of your children. This is my business child. I’ve seen it grow into not only a good weekly publication, but an extra arm to the communities we serve each and every week. When one of children goes through a peak or valley, you go through it too.

I’ve decided not to winter in Florida this winter. This means no fishing or winter golf. This is how bad it is . . .

On a more positive note, I want you to know that on Sunday, October 8th at 12:00 p.m. there will be a Salute to America program to kick off the Bradford property-decorating contest and this year’s Pumpkin Show.
The event is downtown on the Pumpkin Show stage, corner of Miami Ave. and Oakwood St. There will entertainment for all and flags for everyone.

This week’s bottom line: With the recent shootings in Las Vegas, and the recent way the NFL is handling the professional football players, it’s time to stand up to the entire United States and start remembering what the flay and National Anthem really means. Many lives have been sacrificed because of our Liberty.
